Booking & payment systems

Bookings that run themselves.

Slots, deposits, reminders and confirmations, built to work without anyone administering them — because the people who own the system have a business to run.

Most booking software assumes someone is watching it.

01 — The problem

A queue to approve, a calendar to reconcile, a no-show to chase. Generic booking tools are built for businesses with a receptionist, and they quietly stop being used by businesses without one.

The right system for a small business takes a booking, takes the deposit, confirms both sides, reminds the customer, and tells you only when something needs a person. It is less software, not more — and it has to be designed for the least engaged user, who will touch it twice a month in a hurry.

What we build.

02 — What we build
  • A booking flow that is as short as it can bePick the thing, pick the slot, leave a number. Every additional field is a place for someone to give up, and none of them go in without earning it.
  • Availability that matches realityOpening hours, staff, rooms, vehicles, lead times, buffers — whatever actually constrains a slot, modelled once and enforced everywhere.
  • Deposits and paymentsStripe or the provider you already use. Deposits at booking, balance on the day, refunds by rule rather than by argument.
  • Confirmations and remindersEmail and SMS to the customer, email to you, a calendar invite for both. Reminders before the slot, so no-shows fall.
  • A back office you can ignoreSee today’s bookings, move one, cancel one, block a day. Nothing that needs attention to keep working.
  • Your website and calendar, connectedBooking lives inside the site your customers already visit, and lands in the calendar your staff already look at.
03 — How it runs

How it runs.

Every project runs the same five steps, and you see working software every week from the first sprint.

  1. 01CallHalf an hour. You describe the business problem; we tell you what we think it takes.
  2. 02Scoping sprintOne to two weeks. We work out what the system is, who uses it, and which features come first.

Questions about booking systems.

05 — Questions

Why not use Calendly, Acuity or a plugin?

+

If a generic tool fits, use it — it will be cheaper. A custom system earns its place when availability has real rules (vehicles, rooms, staff, lead times), when a deposit or payment is part of the booking, or when the booking has to land in a system you already run. We will tell you which applies on the first call.

Can customers pay a deposit when they book?

+

Yes. Deposits at booking and balance on the day are standard, through Stripe or the payment provider you already use. Refund and cancellation rules are set once and applied automatically.

What happens when something breaks?

+

We know first. Error monitoring runs from launch, so a failed booking or payment reaches us before it reaches you — and long before a customer has to tell you.

Can staff manage bookings from their phone?

+

Yes. The back office is built for the phone, because that is where the person who has to move a booking on a Saturday afternoon actually is.

How long does it take?

+

A booking system inside an existing site is one of the quicker things we build — weeks, not months. The scoping sprint gives you a date in writing.
