01 — Why we built itSome messages are written for a day that has not come yet: a letter for an eighteenth birthday, a video for a wedding. We wanted that to be possible for anyone, and effectively free.
Nothing did the simple version.
02 — What we foundWe looked for a way to send something to a specific person on a specific day, years from now, and found nothing simple. Video is too big for email. The services built for this charge a subscription.
A subscription is the wrong shape for something that might wait 18 years before it does its one job, so SealedIn does not have one.

- 01Delivered on the day, to the minute.You choose who receives it and the exact minute it arrives: up to 3 years ahead on a free envelope, up to 25 years ahead on a Premium one. On the day, SealedIn emails the recipient, who signs in with a one-time code to open it. The recipient can get a heads-up and a countdown, or nothing at all until the day. Deliveries run on an hourly check plus a daily sweep, and a delivery that fails raises an alert.
- 02One envelope: a letter, photos and video.An envelope holds a letter, photos and video, sealed together. Video can be recorded in the browser, and uploads go straight to storage, so the envelope sets the size, not email. A free envelope holds 500 MB, about 5 minutes of phone video; a Premium envelope holds 5 GB. Once an envelope is sealed, its content cannot be edited, and we do not look inside it. Before delivery you can change the date or cancel.
